Terms
Terms of service
The short version: we help you see and clean up what you've signed up to, you stay in control of every action, and you can leave whenever you like.
Who you're dealing with
Lifesweeper is owned and operated by Taylor Jay Beal, a sole trader based in Australia trading as “Lifesweeper”. When you use Lifesweeper or buy a plan, your agreement is with Taylor Jay Beal (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account or continuing to use the service you accept these terms. If you're signing up for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf; if you're signing up as an individual, you confirm you're at least 16.

What Lifesweeper does
Lifesweeper connects to a mailbox you own, reads message headers only (who sent it, the subject line, the date, and any unsubscribe link), and builds a list of the companies you've signed up to. You then choose what to unsubscribe from, cancel, or ask to have deleted.
We never read message bodies, never send email as you, and never sell your data.
Your account and acceptable use
Use your own email account, keep your login details to yourself, keep your details accurate, and treat anything done from your account as done by you.
You must not misuse Lifesweeper. That includes: using it unlawfully; fraud, spam or abuse; infringing anyone's intellectual property; uploading malware; probing, scanning or interfering with our security; scraping or automating access outside our interface; reverse engineering the service; circumventing plan limits; or reselling or redistributing access.
Only search for your own personal details when using public-listing searches. Looking up other people is not allowed and will get the account closed.
Our intellectual property
Lifesweeper and everything in it — the software, interface, design, documentation, database of services, branding and name — remains the property of Taylor Jay Beal or its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Lifesweeper for your own personal use within the plan you've chosen. Your own data stays yours; you grant us only the limited licence needed to host and process it so we can provide the service.
What we can and can't promise
Where a company supports one-click unsubscribe, we send the request for you and record what happened. For everything else we give you step-by-step instructions and track your progress.
Lifesweeper is provided as-is. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and results depend on third parties we don't control. To the fullest extent the law allows we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We can't force a company to delete your data or stop emailing you, and we can't guarantee a specific outcome or timeframe. Lifesweeper is a tool to help you act, not a legal service.
Plans, payment and our reseller
Your first scan is free and includes 15 cleanups. After that you can buy a one-off Inbox Cleanup or subscribe to Lifesweeper Pro. Prices are shown at checkout in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise, and include any tax we must collect.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from Settings. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
Suspension, termination and ending things
You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails or is charged back, if there's a security or fraud risk, if you abuse a mailbox provider's API, or if you repeatedly or seriously break the acceptable-use rules above. Where reasonable we'll warn you first.
When access ends, your scan results and account data are deleted as described in our privacy notice. Export anything you want to keep before you close the account.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you've paid us in the previous 12 months.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of Lifesweeper, your content, or your breach of these terms.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll let you know by email before it takes effect. Last updated August 2026. Questions? Email support@lifesweeper.app.
